CryptoCom Becomes PSG’s First Official Crypto Platform Part
French soccer giant Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced a new multi-year deal that will see digital asset trading platform CryptoCom become the club’s first official crypto platform partner.
CryptoCom and PSG to Launch NFTs
As per the partnership agreement, seen by CryptoPotato, CryptoCom will use its native token CRO to pay a significant portion of the sponsorship fee. The exchange will also house the collaborative and exclusive Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) that the club will release in the coming months.
PSG noted in the announcement that partnering with CryptoCom is natural, considering that the Parisian side has recently built “one of the strongest football teams in the history of the sport,” with the latest addition to the club being Argentine icon Lionel Messi.
An Exciting Time for Crypto
Marc Armstrong, Chief Partnerships Officer, Paris Saint-Germain, said:
“We are delighted to welcome CryptoCom to the Paris Saint-Germain partner family. We share the same passion for innovation and the same ambition to reach the very top.
It is an exciting time for cryptocurrency and we cannot wait to work with CryptoCom to bring new experiences to all of the club’s fans.”
CryptoCom co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek sees the partnership as part of the company’s effort to promote the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies.
“Our mission since day one has been to accelerate the world’s transition to cryptocurrency. We do so by finding the best partners in the world, and Paris Saint-Germain is second to none. Between the brand visibility, stadium and team access, and collaborative development of NFTs, I have no doubt we’ll create new and exciting experiences for football fans around the world,” Marszalek commented.
Increasing Sports and Crypto Partnerships
Meanwhile, this is not the first time companies from both branches have joined forces. CryptoCom has already established a footprint in the sports industry by signing multiple deals with UFC and teams from Serie A, Formula 1, and the NHL.
In a similar development, CryptoPotato reported that popular Bitcoin derivatives exchange BitMEX recently collaborated with the European soccer giant AC Milan to become the team’s Official Sleeve Partner and the Official Cryptocurrency Trading Partner.
